What is sandblasting?
Abrasive blasting,more commonly known as sandblasting,is the operation of forcibly propelling a stream of abrasive material against a surface under high pressure to smooth a rough surface,roughen a smooth surface,shape a surface or remove surface contaminants.
Working principle of sandblasting:
The process of cleaning and roughening the surface of the substrate by the impact of high-speed sand flow.Using compressed air as the power to form a high-speed jet beam,the spray (copper ore,quartz sand,corundum,iron sand,Hainan sand) is sprayed at high speed onto the surface of the workpiece to be treated,so that the appearance or shape of the outer surface of the workpiece surface changes.Due to the impact of the abrasive on the surface of the workpiece and the cutting action,the surface of the workpiece is given a certain degree of cleanliness and different roughness,so that the mechanical properties of the surface of the workpiece are improved.
Advantages of sandblasting:
Therefore,the fatigue resistance of the workpiece is improved,the adhesion between the coating and the coating is increased,the durability of the coating film is prolonged,and the leveling and decoration of the coating is also facilitated.
Sandblasting is the most thorough,versatile,quickest and most efficient method of cleaning.
Sandblasting can be arbitrarily chosen between different roughnesses,and other processes have no way of achieving this.Manual sanding can produce a matte surface but the speed is too slow,and chemical solvent cleaning will clean the surface too smooth for coating adhesion.
