Mechanical properties test by BV

Germany customer placed an order to us recently, this order is complicated, it includes kinds of materials of flange,butt welding fittings, forged fittings. They ask BV 3.2 certification for this order to guarantee the quality. So we contact BV inspector to do the inspection. To get BV 3.2 certification, some testing is needed, for example, HB test, chemical composition analysis, mechanical properties test and low temperature impact test.

Mechanical properties test is a quite important part of product inspection. BV inspector witness the process of testing in our laboratory. There are kinds of products and materials including A234 WPB, A105, A106, A403 WP304L, A403 WP321, A420 WPL6 and A350 LF2 and so on. First we prepare specimen for each heat number in advance. Then take these specimens to laboratory and put them on the machine (see it below) to do the test.

Mechanical properties test includes yield strength, tensile strength and elongation and HB test. After put the specimen on the machine, there will be detailed data on the computer (see it below). We have do the test for all kinds of carbon steel, stainless steel and low alloy steel materials in our order. All are qualified.
