Last article we introduce the ACID number application process. Now we will review the process of applying for an ACID number in an actual order from my regular Egyptian client.

We know this request from forwarder when we we book the shipment. They tell us we should get an ACID number, then they can book the shipment to us. Then we confirm with client and learn how to apply it on CargoX. To be honest it’s a difficult process. We take lots of time to study each step to ensure everything is correct.

1.We we use the company email to register and fill up company information. It must be totally the same with Shipper information.

2.To get an ACID number, we should pay to CargoX Platform, they send us the PI and then we recharged. First time should be no lower than $400.

3.We and client get the ACID number successfully some setbacks. Then forwarder book the shipment.

4.After we get the accurate data for weight, volume and other information, we prepare the packing list, commercial invoice, certification of original. But client asks us to change it several times to ensure everything is correct. Finally we confirm all.

5.The last step is to upload all documents on CargoX. It includes BL, CO, MTC, PL, CI and so on.
